About Connie Trathen
Connie was born and bred in Geelong, growing up surrounded by her European family & traditions. Luckily, this came hand in hand with great food and big celebrations and set Connie off to the start of her hospitality career. This wasn’t necessarily her dream goal (yes she wanted to be a pop star) but it was easy to see that it was an arena she was quite comfortable in.
Like many others, in her 20's, Connie flew the coop & spent 15 years living in Melbourne. Drawing on her skills she ventured into the training industry delivering courses in Management and Hospitality before moving into a more corporate role in a “well-known” burger company for several years. The best decision she then made was to move back "home", settling into the Bellarine Peninsula with her husband & Jack Russell.
Things could not have worked out better for her when she secured her role at the iconic Vue Grand Hotel in Queenscliff. This allowed her to reconnect with the people of the region & enjoy a rewarding and diverse job. After 5 and a half years in Queenscliff she decided to spread her wings and share her passion for the region on a larger scale, with Tourism Greater Geelong and the Bellarine. She always enjoyed dabbling in the digital marketing world and looks forward to seeing how much more she can explore.
