Countdown to The National Celtic Festival
Tighten your tap shoes, get your Guinness hand ready and prepare for a weekend full of folk music, Gaelic culture and all-round good times at the National Celtic Festival.
With over 15,000 visitors expected, Portarlington prepares to transform into the Bellarine's folky focal point. Market stalls, masterclasses and musicians from all over the world roll into town over the long weekend (8th-11th June), including Irish legends Altan and Damien Leith, Scottish stars Paul McKenna Band and lots of local talent including Catherine Fraser Trio, Señor Cabrales and renown party-starters Claymore.
With entertainment spread across 14 stages, the National Celtic Festival transforms the town into a winter-wonderland of world-class entertainment. There's comedy troupes, buskers, medieval sports and the whole town is overflowing with local food trucks and suppliers serving up regional delicacies (and plenty of options to wash them down).
Tickets and accommodation packages are on sale now, so start planning for a fabulous folk-filled weekend.
