Easter School Holiday Guide (2018)

Easter School Holiday Guide (2018)

The Easter school holidays are my favourite and it's not just because you can eat your body weight in chocolate without guilt or judgement. It's also because it starts with a four day weekend, the weather's still mild enough to enjoy outside as well as in and, the chocolate.

We've pulled together a list of some of the coolest and most fun holiday activities happening in locations all across our region.

Storyfest in Central Geelong will celebrate storytelling in all forms - books, performances, exhibitions and more - in locations across the city from gardens to bookshops to galleries and beyond. Activities are hads-on, creative and, mostly, free!

Searoad Ferries will return with the kids version of their famous High Tea on the High Seas on 5 & 12 April.

In Portarlington, the Bayside Miniature Railway will have $2 rides on Saturday and Sunday of Easter weekend.

Mt Duneed Estate is having a grand Easter Egg Hunt in amongst the vines on Good Friday and Easter Saturday, 30 & 31st March, with all kids meals half price!

Budding photographers can hone their skills with a wildlife photography workshop at the Geelong Botanic Gardens on 10 April.

The Marine and Freshwater Discover Centre in Queenscliff has activities every day. The incredible and adventurous schedule includes feeding, storytime, ocean art, fishing, snorkelling, rockpool rambles and more.

Bellarine Railway has a packed schedule for the Easter holidays including a Good Friday Appeal fundraiser, Easter Bunny Trains and a Day Out With Thomas.

At Fairy Park, the Easter fun will include face painting, balloon animals and magic shows on Saturday.

On Easter Sunday, the bunny himself will visit Supatramp with loads of chocolate-y goodness to find in the park.

Also on Easter Sunday, you can share in 15,000 eggs to be found at Adventure Park! There's a special area for toddlers too (so the big kids don't get all the fun). Free with park entry.

A Cinderella pantomime is on show at The Potato Shed 10-13 April at $32 for a family of 4.
