Find Fun Greater Than > 5kms From Your House

Regional Victoria is thrilled to emerge from lockdown and many businesses in Geelong and The Bellarine are taking careful steps forward toward being fully open again. With the freedom to move beyond 5km for any reason, here are some reasons to leave home....

Boom Gallery & Big Boom are up and running again with three brand new solo exhibitions across three gallery spaces. Sunday, the on-site cafe, is open as well with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.

Bella E-Bike Hire is open for business. We operate from 9:30 to 5:30 each day on the Bellarine Peninsula.

Next Level Skirmish is just like paintball but without the mess! 7000m2 of battlefield, an outdoor picnic space and a great birthday party package. What better way to blow off those stressful lockdown cobwebs than by firing at your family!

Focal Point Darkroom and Gallery is Geelong's centre for creative photography. An exhibition of our members' work is on now as well as a range of photograph services and sales: black-and-white film processing and printing; darkroom and studio hire; photography books; film, paper and equipment sales.

Curlewis Golf Club is open 7 days with sandwiches available to golfers after their round. The Range is also open for 45 minute sessions of stress-relieving-driving-range-ball-whacking, as well as food and drinks. Mini golf isn't open just yet.

Fairy Park is open every day of the school holidays (18 September - 3 October) and then Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays after that. Entry is from 10am and gates close at 4.30pm, with the last admission at 3pm.

Hook up with a designated driver with the For The Love of Grape and DIY a wine tour to visit your selection of wineries. A day with vehicle + driver for for up to 6 passengers is $600; up to 10 is $800 and up to 24 is $1,000.

Franscene Bellarine offers personalised transport and concierge services across Geelong and The Bellarine in a luxury Mercedes van for up to 7 people, including a wine tour concierge service with lunch and wine tastings from $175 per person.

Historic and original antiques with a focus on military objects, Armor Antiques Geelong is open again.

Pinot and Picasso is back, with private sessions and public availability. The gear is provided, the location is in Ryrie Street Geelong and all you need is BYO booze and a good sense of fun. There are family and kids only sessions available too.

Specialty shopping has also reopened in the precincts and shopping centres around the region, including absolute gems like The Reimaginarium in Moorabool Street Geelong, turning vintage items - furniture, jewellery and more - into great pieces with personality.
