Lockdown's Over, Let's Eat!

We're thrilled the lockdown has officially ended and there is no end to the list of reasons we can leave home! The steps forward are small, though, and not everything is open immediately.

Here are some places you can go out to eat that we know are open now. With the limited capacities it's best to book ahead for most venues. 


Mr Grubb @ Oakdene is open 7 days a week for lunch & dinner. A special 3 course menu, including several options, for $60 and kids are $30 for their meal, a drink & an ice cream.  Take away and delivery, a lockdown staple, is still available 7 nights a week.


Breakfast and lunch is available 7 days a week at Fork N Flower, between 8.30am - 4pm. 


Dine alfresco at Novotel Geelong. Walk-in system, right in the heart of the Waterfront. Breakfast is 7am - 10am weekdays, 7am - 11am weekends. Lunch, dinner and bar snacks are available daily from 11am - 3pm. 


There's free coffee with a food purchase at Viet Rolls Geelong


Clyde Park has opened for premium seated cellar door tastings and a light grazing menu. Saturday and Sunday, 10am - 5pm.  


360Q has great options no matter when your tummy rumbles - breakfast Friday to Sunday as well as lunch, linner and dinner 7 days a week.  


Saltbush Fine Foods Queenscliff is open 9.30am – 4.30pm every day except Wednesday. Table service is operating inside and out.


Pier Front Pizzeria Portarlington is open Monday and Tuesday 4.30pm - 8pm, Friday 4.30pm - 9.30pm, Saturday 12pm - 9.30pm and Sunday 12pm - 8pm. The full menu is available for both dine in and takeaway.


Scotchmans Hill Bistro & Cellar Door are open. 


The Whiskery is open 11am - 5pm Thursday to Sunday but must be booked for a two hour session. Bottles and take away cocktails can be collected from the cellar door too. 


Jack Rabbit Vineyard - Restaurant is currently closed but the House of Jack Rabbit Café is open 7 Days with two sittings: 11am – 1.15pm and 1.30pm – close.


Leura Park Estate is open Thursday to Sunday in two sittings: 11am – 1.15pm and 1.30pm – close.


The Range @ Curlewis is open 7 days, diners can spend up to two hours enjoying brunch, lunch or dinner.  


There's a modern Australian shared menu on offer at Nicol's Paddock (check the website for a sneak peek). Open Thursday and Sunday, 11am - 3pm and on Friday and Saturday for all day dining from 11am - 8pm.


Bear & Bean is open for seated service inside & out as well as takeaway featuring all day breakfast, a stocked cabinet and great coffee! Monday to Friday 8am - 3pm, Weekends 8:30am - 3pm.


Little Sirens Kiosk at St Leonards Pier is open Wednesday to Friday 5pm - 7pm, Weekends 10am - 2pm. Summer hours begin on Melbourne Cup weekend. 


Mt Duneed Estate is open Saturday and Sunday 10am - 3pm with a pop-up wine store and heat-and-eat food items.


Archive Wine Bar - wine, food and specialty classes with Geelong Wine School - is open Thursday 3pm - 9pm, Friday and Saturday 2pm - 11pm and Sunday 2pm - 7pm. 


Oakdene Cellar Door create your own seated tasting experience by selecting six premium wine samples for a guided tasting and chat. Sessions last up to 45 minutes and cost $10. Open 7 days from 10am - 4pm. 


Farmers markets continue to run, as they have throughout lockdown, check out South Geelong on the first and third Sunday of each month, and Riverside on the second Saturday. 


Tastings and cellar door sales are available at Manzanillo Grove between 11am - 4pm Friday to Tuesday. 


Sweet treats - drinks and chocolates - are on offer at Hahndorf’s Fine Chocolates Geelong. Monday to Saturday, 10am to 4pm 


Moorabool Valley Chocolate has opened with most of the regular menu from Tuesday to Saturday, 10.30am - 5pm.
